Chuang Tzu's philosophy represents the main current of the Taoistic teaching and the Chuang-tzu text is widely regarded as both deeply insightful in thought and as an achievement of the Chinese poetical essay form; Feng's translation includes in it Kuo Hsiang's commentaries on Chuang-tzu, as well as Feng's own interpretations on Chuang Tzu's philosophy; Fung Yu-lan's translation puts more emphasis on Chuang Tzu's philosophy, and embodies the results of recent scholarship of the Qing Dynasty.
