(Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio is a monumental work of literature from the well-known Chinese writer, Pu Songling. On the basis of recording the strange as inherited from the Wei and Jin dynasties and the Tang and Song Dynasty tradition of legends, and with thought provoking writing and a feeling of love, Pu Songling achieved the greatest result in Chinese classical writing. The book has also become immortal; a household name understood by everyone. This book's translation adopts the Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio "literary and colloquial contrast" translated text from Sun Tonghai, etc. in its translation. Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio researchers were also invited to annotate, note and amend Tianchi's translation. The book's comments and notes express original ideas and are highly beneficial to the reader.)
