It's hard to imagine today what traveling around the world one hundred years ago involved. In those days trips abroad were major expeditions, fraught with complications and dangers. To make one's way entirely around the world's surface was barely even possible. But Phileas Fogg, an intrepid English gentleman, dared the impossible on a bet when he set out to complete such a trip with his French manservant Passepartout. The voyage, a muddle of railroads, lumbering elephants, steamships, schedules and encounters both frightening and humorous leads us on a once in a lifetime adventure.
