Excerpts from the book:
Siyana and Ladomira ran through the forest. Suddenly the witch stopped. She attracted the girl and, looking into her eyes, asked:
"Are you sure you want to tie your fate with the fate of Lesyar?"
"Yes..." muttered Ladomira.
"And you will not regret it? Would you regret having to leave your homeland?" pressed by a witch.
"I will not regret it," the girl answered confidently.
"Then let's go, everything is prepared for the wedding."
Following Ladomira and Siyana, the small fluffy kuksha flew. Finally, she got ahead of them on the approach to the ancient Temple and sat on the wooden shoulder of the Kupalnitsa statue in order to watch the upcoming rite high.
Meanwhile, wedding preparations were underway at the Lada Temple. Zhdana weaved wreaths, decorating with them the heads of the idols of Lada, Lelya and Kupalnitsa. At the entrance to the Temple, she spread a long piece of unpainted canvas, symbolizing the bridge, — the passage from the World of People to the World of the Gods, in front of which the marriage would take place.
While preparing, Zhdana sang an ancient song:

When yaryzhka appeared in the farm, Vadim weaved bast shoes. Seeing the relative, the owner was surprised:
"Has brother come? Apparently you need something from me if you went through five miles?!"
The yaryzhka laughed.
"So I'm not on foot, on a horse."
"There is nothing to treat you. Do not blame me," Vadim immediately showed "hospitality".
"So I didn't come for something," yaryzhka took a small leather bag filled with silver coins from his belt and handed it to his brother. "Here, take it..."
He grinned, but accepted the small bag.
"I say well: you need something! What you need — say."
"I want to get rid of the hunter, his name is Lesyar."
Vadim laughed.
"Do you want to get rid? Voivode probably wants to! Only he can pay so much silver!"
"So help, or not?" asked the yaryzhka. "You can live on this silver for twenty years..."
Vadim weighed a bag in his hand.
"I will help."
"Then pack up, you will come with me."
