Cockney comedian Micky Flanagan's debut radio show charts the ups and downs of his life, from Billingsgate fish porter to successful stand-up comic and from Sunblest to panini, tabloids to broadsheets and the street party to the dinner party. Each week's episode focuses on a different decade of Micky's life, and he regales us with autobiographical stories told through stand-up comedy. His progression from working-class Herbert to middle-class intellectual continues in this second episode, in which he takes us through his life in the 1980s, spent running away to New York and being the international lover and player of the East End. He chats to his parents, his sister and his school friends in interviews that shed light on his stand-up comedy. Written and performed by Micky Flanagan, and produced by Tilusha Ghelani.
