Most animals have enemies that want to do them harm, so they need some type of protection. Some have developed clever ways to hide; others have good tricks to scare their attackers away; some are good at escaping from danger. Different creatures use speed to run, fly or swim away, while some retaliate with sharp teeth, horns, beaks and claws.
