Nothing much ever happened to Digory when he was in the forest, until one day when he found something that changed his life for ever - a dragon's tooth. Soon the village gossips spread the word that Digory had killed a dragon, and single-handedly saved the entire village from extinction. How wrong could they be? Digory is an ordinary boy (with a chipolata nose) who does not want to do brave deeds and save maidens. Even talking about it makes him feel a bit frightened. So when the villagers send him off to face another evil dragon, can Digory keep himself out of harm's way, as well as maintain his new and wonderful reputation?
