The work comprises selections that speak of humor, romance, and observation of the human condition. Connectedness, love of family, children, and ordinary beauty is subject that is conveyed with enlightened purpose in singular uninventive language.
Title of the book was taken from Irish tradition dating back to the early 19th century. Significance of placing candles in the window meant as a symbol to travelers they are welcomed company.
It can be said, poets are dreamers. I would not argue. So too must the business of a poet hold substance. Purpose and merit held for inspection for transparency of thought and the grappling of universal truths. A poem should not need long study and lenghty interpretation. Someone said all poems are but a draft of another. Their meaning and ultimate goal: to move the human heart. The world shall say that you are a poet.
