Bats do not see very well with their eyes. They "see" with their ears. They use sonar to find things in the dark. Sonar is a way of using sound to make pictures.

Bats send out small clicks of sound. This sound bounces off things. The echo then comes back to the bat. When a bat hears the clicks, it forms a picture.
