"诲淫"、"诲盗"是悬在戏剧头上的两把剑，戏的内容稍有逾越，为统治阶级不悦，此剑便会当即砍下。"诲淫诲盗"一语，本出于《周易系辞上》："慢藏诲盗，冶容诲淫。"其意为：财物不仔细保管，会招致别人来偷盗；女子打扮得十分妖艳，也会引诱别人来调戏。用在"戏"上，即指"戏"可引诱、教唆看戏的人犯罪，去做奸淫盗窃之类的恶事。"Seducing obscenity and inducing theft" are the two swords for dramas.
