《爱眉小札》是陆小曼为纪念徐志摩四十诞辰而将两人合写的日记及徐志摩1925年写给她的书信编辑而成的；《志摩日记》是陆小曼为纪念徐志摩五十岁生日编辑的。这些日记、信札真实、生动地记述了两人由相识、相知到步入婚姻殿堂的情感经历，字里行间洋溢着那个时代一对年轻男女冲破重重樊篱、追求个性解放的心声，文字清丽，感情率真，一直为读者所喜爱。此外，我们还选录了一些纪念文章，并附有徐志摩年谱。本书所选各篇以蒋复璁、梁实秋主编的《徐志摩全集》（台湾版）为底本，原书得到徐志摩前妻张幼仪女士及生前好友的鼎力相助，文字资料由徐志摩与张幼仪的独生子徐积锴先生向美国各大学图书馆中搜求，意在"保存文献，传诸久远"。（For memorizing of the 40th birthday of XU Zhimo, Love Memories of Xiaoman is edited by LU Xiaoman, covering diaries co-written by LU and XU as well of letters from XU to LU in 1925. Chapters in this book are originated from The Complete Works of XU Zhimo (Taiwan Version) that compiled by JIANG Fucong and LIANG Shiqiu and supported by XU's lifetime friends and former wife ZHANG Youyi. The literal data in this book is collected by XU Jikai, the only son of XU and ZHANG, from several libraries in American colleges and universities, implying "preservation of documents for passage to generations".）
