《鲁滨逊漂流记》是笛福的代表作，它取材于一个真实的故事：1704 年，一个名叫亚历山大的苏格兰水手在航行中与船长发生冲突 , 被抛弃在南美的一个荒岛上，直到几年后被一个航海家发现才重返英国。笛福在亚历山大冒险经历的基础上，充分发挥自己的想象力和艺术创作能力，完成了《鲁滨逊漂流记》这部举世闻名的现实主义小说。

小说虽然取材于真人真事，但在主人公的冒险生涯中融合了作者本人丰富的人生阅历。《鲁滨逊漂流记》的影响是巨大的，不仅为笛福赢得了近500个头衔 ，而且各种译本和仿作层出不穷，多达700种。美国著名专栏作家费迪曼教授高度赞扬《鲁滨逊漂流记》："孩童时代至少读来有趣，成人之后再去读，就会知道是不朽的杰作。"

(Robinson Crusoe is Defoe's masterpiece. It is based on a true story: in 1704, a Scottish sailor named Alexander clashed with the captain during the voyage, and was abandoned on a desert island in South America. Until a few years later, he was found by a navigator and returned UK. On the basis of Alexander's adventure, Defoe gave full play of his imagination and artistic creation ability, and completed the world famous realist novel Robinson Crusoe.

Even though the novel is based on the true story, the author's rich life experience has been combined with the protagonist's adventure. Robinson Crusoe has huge influence, not only for winning nearly 500 titles for Defoe, but also for all kinds of translation and pastiche emerging endlessly with as many as 700 kinds. The famous American columnist Professor Fadiman praised Robinson Crusoe: "in childhood, it is at least a book interesting to read, and you will know that it is an immortal masterpiece as an adult."

To facilitate the understanding of teenagers, we added introduction before each poetry and prose. It either introduces the main content of the work, or introduces works' publishing background, or analyzing the central idea the work want to express. The text does not have many words, but it is enough to give readers a more comprehensive understanding of the work.
