Due to a series of mishaps, Royal Navy reserve officer Roger Merton finds himself making an emergency landing on a small island off the coast of Scotland. He is astonished to discover that the island has been infiltrated by German spies, and in an attempt to gauge the true extent of the threat, he decides to pose as a foreign agent.
