The Young Entrepreneurs Financial Literacy Handbook consists of a series of seminars which help students develop those skills necessary to start a business. It addresses the various learning styles of students and is aligned with the new common core curriculum educational standards. In today's economic environment this program is especially effective since it emphasizes financial literacy, leadership, and entrepreneurship. It covers such topics as identifying business opportunities, goal setting, budgeting, business finances, banking, credit, saving, investing, business plans, and marketing. The activities presented help students develop skills in problem solving, teamwork, technology, and oral presentation. The book can be used to support an existing financial literacy curriculum or serve as the foundation of a performance based financial literacy program.
