Playboy Bunnies like film starlet Sabrina Scharf used their tenure as Club Bunnies to promote their careers and afford European travel. Scharf, who was signed by Columbia Studios in Fall 1965, is noted for her appearance in the motion picture Gator. Scharf, originally from Delphos, Ohio, came to New York by way of New Mexico. As a youth of 14 she had married her Algebra teacher. Sabrina is one of three Manhattan Club Bunnies who appears on the cover of my e-book. Playboy Clubs were also a vehicle of upward mobility for black models, film actresses and rock singers.
