Built off the sweat of its founding members, it serves as a beacon of hope to most.
Reverend Kenneth Taylor, its entrusted pastor, struggles to hold on to his shrinking flock. His charismatic sermons bring in the crowd, but scarce employment is driving them away. Daily he prays for a miraculous shift and something that could possibly bring in jobs.
His prayers soon appear to be answered in the form of a cocky ex-parishioner.
Sherman Avery, a college misfit, once belonged to this very church. Yet, his abstract thoughts and wild beliefs eventually forced the two to butt heads. Still, with him, he carries a piece of history which hints that's treasure may be underneath, a small fortune, that if uncovered, could possibly make the members rich.
Is Sherman's evidence factual? Or is this all a plot of twisted revenge? And what would the flock decide to do? Tear down its walls or preserve its history?
