Ganesh Khamrui is a happy-go-lucky habitual pickpocket whose credentials have made him a known face in the local police circuit. The police could sniff his signature presence behind every petty crime with reasonable certainty, but Ganesh remains undeterred. On one occasion, Ganesh gets a start when the police summons him to the station, and on reaching there, none other than the officer in charge asks him to steal a mobile handset from an unassuming person. This call for duty got triggered by the officer's concern for his daughter's well-being, who seems to have fallen for the person's poetic instincts.
