"Men's Wives" by William Makepeace Thackeray is a collection of three satirical short stories that serve as advertisements for bachelorhood. The three stories are "The Ravenswing", "Mr. and Mrs. Frank Berry", and "Dennis Haggerty's Wife." Each of these stories a man who realizes, contrary to popular belief, his life was much better before he got married. Thackeray shows a mature, if not inspired, view of the relations between not just men and their wives but also between husbands.
