"From the closet to the Junta" depicts gay and diplomats life in Santiago. From the poverty in Peru to the wealth of The Netherlands depicts the life changes of Malucha, the main character of "Between drizzle and hate", I volume of the trilogy.
"Intercultural Neurosis" is the chronicle of family violence and how Magnolia, the main character of Volume III "Of Sun and moon", resists to protect her two sons. In spite of his abuse, she manages to graduate from the University. With the support of friends from her faculty she escapes Ecuador taking her children to The Netherlands, a country she barely knows.
"Echoes from New York" is a fragment of Volume III "Of sun and moon" of the Trilogy. Magnolia, unveils part of the history of her friend Malucha, main character of Volume I. With Maniro, main character of volume II "Menkori" they try to overcome the loss of their friend. Cheryl her daughter has moved to New York to work and study there. Future seems promising. It is not.
"Thanatos & Oslo" presents the heartaches of Maniro, the main character of "Menkori", II volume of the trilogy. Can a Latina with deep and stormy feelings match with a Nordic rational, calculating, introvert man whose life has been branded by his childhood traumas? The pain inflicted to her has a dramatic end. It is to the reader to draw her/his own conclusions.
"Struggle for survival" is part of Volume III of the trilogy. Deceit and plagiarism at a Dutch university are faced by Magnolia, the main character. Will she denounce her mentor to the Academic Institute? Before Maniro's death she managed to connect her friend with academics than can help her.
Magnolia was the strongest of the three women and the one telling the story of three friends that went from poverty in Latin America to the wealth in Europe.
