Natasha's job guarding a prized show dog seems jinxed right from the start.

Self-employed protection specialist Natasha Chamberlain's first official job is to guard a champion show dog who's received a threatening letter. Although she initially doesn't think there should be much danger guarding a show dog, she changes her mind after she tangles with a criminal biker, lands in jail, and keeps ending up in the emergency room. Natasha's lover, former boss Jonce Striker, thinks the investigation is growing out of control and wants nothing more than for Natasha to leave this dangerous field. But Natasha, whose own life is threatened, won't give up until she's sure the little Pug is safe from harm, no matter the cost. Will Natasha and Striker find a way to resolve their differences over her career before it's too late?
