Frank "Buster" Wortman was an East St. Louis/St. Louis mobster who was connected to the national Mafia during a career which began in the 1930s. Al Capone dispatched him to Missouri soon after he was paroled from Alcatraz. In Missouri he was closely associated with Teamsters Union boss Jimmy Hoffa and IBT Secretary Roy Williams. My e-book was written using original columns from the 1950s era. Specifically, "Inside Labor" columnist Victor Riesel was a pioneer in exposing labor racketeering. I've drawn a portion of my study of Wortman from his columns of the 1950s and early 1960s.
