Santa Rosa was born in Viterbo in 1233. Within the walls of her house and of her parents Giovanni and Caterina, Rosa lived in retirement until the age of seventeen. At that age, about 1250, miraculously healed from a serious illness, she exercised for a few months the apostolate in Viterbo dressed in the habit of the Franciscan Third Order ... she suffered with her parents while her holiness became more and more evident for the Viterbo people.
