"The Day of Glory" by Dorothy Canfield Fisher is a compilation of short stories that follow different characters throughout France. Considered by many to be a work of feminist fiction as many of the protagonists are women who show strength and independence in the face of challenges that many wouldn't be able to dream of. The stories, and the book as a whole, provide an insightful look into the society of the 20th century.
