It's easy to get caught up in the hectic routine of everyday life and forget to express our gratitude to those who matter most to us. Take a moment to think about the relationships in your life and consider a time when you felt gratitude for that person.

One of the most common mistakes we can make in our relationships is the assumption mistake. This occurs when we assume that someone in our life knows what we are thinking or feeling, or when we believe that someone else should know what we are thinking or feeling. The problem with this is that if we don't let the people in our lives know that they are important to us, they don't know that they are important. For most of us, we have stopped being mindful in our lives. We have gone on autopilot and are just drifting through life.

Our brain and body have become so familiar with our routine that we barely think about or pay attention to our daily lives. Our minds are often busy making lists, remembering the day's events or thinking about the future, which we have stopped being aware of. We tend to go through the emotions we know so well and miss all the nuances of experience in the process.
