David Finn has worked as a sculptor for since 1982 when he began making small child -size bodies from newspaper and placing them in evocative installations called Newspaper Children. Masked Figures, life-sized figures made of refuse materials and wearing painted masks, were developed in New York in the 1980's in part as a response to the wealth and poverty of everyday life there.
