While it is not the typical swashbuckling fare you would expect from the author of 'The Three Musketeers,' 'The Wolf Leader' is a wonderfully atmospheric tale, detailing a deal between Thibault, a shoemaker, and a half-man-half-wolf creature he meets in the forest. While revenge might be sweet, for every deal, there is a price to pay. A superb and intriguing read for those who want to read something out of the ordinary. -
