He had felt the sharpness of life's blade, so many times before. But now it was slicing through him, cutting away at what little remained of his soul. His life had been stained with greed and avarice, he knew no love or kindness from those around him. Consumed by a deep sea of regret he saw himself drift further away with each moment that passed, until he was finally broken and accepted his impending death.

As he felt himself slowly slipping away, memories flashed before his eyes, of all the things he wished he had done differently. He wished he had loved more cherished life more, and not allowed greed to consume him. But it was too late now, the damage was done.
